I was skeptical of alum, but I ordered a RazoRock (from Phil @ Bullgoose) and have been using it for a couple of weeks and I’ve noticed less irritation. I had a couple of very minor trouble spots on the sides of my neck, just under my ears and on my lower neck near the collar line and they’ve basically gone away using Alum.
I use it right after my shave on my wet face and leave it on while I clean up my brush and razor. I then rinse off the alum residue and apply my usual aftershave(s). No minor bumps or irritation.
Weird but true. If there are any guys on the fence about trying alum, I’d say go for it.

Someone suggested I should try RazoRock to help with my acne. I’ve tried everything else so why not. Amazingly and an answer to my prayers, it cleared up the severe acne that I have had for over 10 years. Who knew something so inexpensive and so simple could do something no medecine or dermatologist could do. I wish everyone who suffered from acne could try this product. I use it twice a day. I wash my face, apply the RazoRock, dust off any residue, apply moisturizer and then makeup and the results are incredible. I am still amazed…It works better than I could have ever hoped!

Wow!!! What a nice product! I just done applying the RazoRock to my face a few moments ago and this is the first time for me buying an alum block. I figured that I couldn’t pass the deal that was being offered here. So basically I got 120g of Alum for a fairly good price compared to other alum products I seen.
The bonus with RazoRock is that you get a round tip which makes application easier, and a very nice case and handle. I am impressed by the presentation.
After applying the alum against my beard and the initial “bite”, I felt a smoothing effect I didn’t feel with WH. Now I have to experiment and see how can I incorporate both alum and WH in my after-shave procedure.

Just got 2 sticks here in NB. My former alum block slipped out of my hand several times, and it’s now in pieces. The RazoRock is much better with the handle incorporated. Excellent product.

I just used the alum again and I have to say that it is great, I kinda wish I saved that other one for myself. I find it hard to wash off my face as it almost makes my face shed or wick the cold water I splash on it. It does not sting at all like an aftershave does, but you can feel it (that’s for sure). As for the redness, I have always had problems with the redness on my neck. I switched over to DE shaving for this reason and find my neck a pain in the rear to shave. I often find that the razor doesn’t glide on my neck and it is really sensitive. However I think the presence of the red bumps is making this issue harder than it should be. So after a few days of using the alum the bumps are noticeably smaller, less red and only located on a couple spots on my neck. I have never remembered my neck being this nice. I imagine that if I keep on using this my neck will be cleared up.
The best thing is, usually after the shave my neck is pretty bad and then over the next hour it gets worse. However I have not experienced this with the alum. Although my neck is not yet 100% clear, it is very noticeably better. I feel like I should get a couple more sticks from you!

Ill be honest, when I bought the Alum block, it seemed odd to me to rub a rock on my face after every shave. Asking myself, This has got to be a gimmick. How is a wet rock going to do anything? I was proved wrong. After my first application, I was sold.It smoothes and soothes the skin incredibly well, stops those pesky nicks and weepers that can unfortunately be part of shaving and leaves the face feeling refreshed. I ditched the styptic pencil and have been using the Alum block as part of my daily shaving routine ever since!

I received this little gem a few weeks ago from Italian Barber. I really like my Cella. So I thought I would give this soap a go.
I am very happy I decided to buy it because it is a heck of a soap. It loads very easily into both my boar and silver tip brushes.
It just simply works like a charm. After getting to know this soap a little more I noticed that it works with what ever water you give it. Its not a fussy soap in that sense. I simply load my wet brush and start lathering up in a bowl. No need to add extra water.
The scent is also very nice, light and subtle. Still very detectable. It smells like Almond Amaretto to me. I give this soap two thumbs up because its very inexpensive and just works great.

RazoRock Fresco…this stuff frickin(ahmm) rocks…just the right creaminess to make it lather way easier than Cella or Vitos. The smell…this is the best way to describe it, it smells like after you brush your teeth…what the bathroom(shaveden)smells like…it’s a soft, minty and watery smell…Amazing! The lather for me was thick and nice, very creamy and I bowl lathered…in a scuttle with nice warm water. Shaved, slick as can be. I am selling all my creams (Taylor of Old Bond Street, Geo F Trumpers,) because I have no need for them when I have the King of Shave Creamsoap…if anyone has not tried RazoRock products, check them out, by far the best stuff I’ve used…and smelled!

Just to let you know I used the RazoRock Italian Master Barber Limited Edition Shave Soap this morning and all I can say is wow. It lathered up like a dream and the scent was great. Very protective and very slick, just how lather should be. I got one of the best shaves that I’ve had since I started wetshaving four years ago. I really, really love the classic almond scent (and so does my wife, I’ve caught her sniffing the container!)
